Dewey ""Jack"" Hicks passed away on January 30th, 2017 after a short illness. Jack was born in Denver where he went to school, graduated and married his first wife Pauline. They had three children but divorced after fourteen years. In 1979 Jack married Debbie, who also had three children, and they became one big blended family. Jack and Debbie were married 37 years before he passed away. He worked a variety of jobs before settling in for an over thirty year stent working at what is now called Avaya. Jack retired in 2001 and had many years to enjoy his retirement. Jack was so many things. He was an avid outdoors man enjoying camping, hunting, four-wheeling, ice racing, wood working and more. He was a great son, husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Eliose and one son, Shawn. He leaves behind a sister, Jeanette and her husband Marvin, a brother, Cecil and his wife Kaye, a wife, Debbie, and five children, Jay and his wife Michele, Dawn and her husband Toby, Amy widow of Shawn Hicks, Shawn and his wife Amy (yes, there were two Shawn's and two Amy's), John and his wife Jena, Denise, seventeen grandchildren, Peri, Nicloe, Jace, Staci, Randi, Dylan, Ashleigh, Dakota, Sebastien, Marissa, Jimmy, Justyce, Chad, Jeydon, Carter, Jemini, Jazmyn, and five great grandchildren, Hailey, Ryan, Lydia, Laine & James Jr. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17th, 2017 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street Thornton, Colorado, followed by a reception.
