Diana was born February 27, 1916 in Denver, Colorado to Lawrence Phipps, Jr. and Gladys Hart Phipps, the middle of three daughters. Deceased April 7, 2015. As a youth and young adult, Diana lived in Denver, Colorado; New York City; Paris, France; Morristown, Tennessee; Westwood, California, and at Highlands Ranch before settling on a ranch south of Sedalia, Colorado, where she lived and operated the ranch from 1948 to 2005. She resided in Denver at Heritage Club/Brookdale University Park for her final ten years. Diana was preceded in death by her three husbands; Lindsay Riley, Clay Keene, and Donald Braden. She is survived by her children; John (Susan) Riley of California, Diana Blayney of Aurora, and David (Ellin Oliver) Keene of Denver; Grandchildren, John C. Riley of Georgia, S. Denise Riley of California, Carrie (Randy) Bernhardt of Fort Morgan, and Elizabeth Keene of New York; Great Grandchildren, Brandon and Dustin Riley of California, Michael (Kristen) Bernhardt of Loveland, Emily Bernhardt of Brush, and Alex Bernhardt of Wiggins; Great-Great Grandchildren, Maya and Maxamus of Brush. Diana was very active in the Republican Party, particularly in Douglas County, Colorado. She helped launch the political careers of Senator Peter Dominick, Governor John Love, Representative Ken Kramer, and Douglas County Commissioner Hank Kimbrough. Services will be held at St. Philip's-in-the-Field Episcopal Church, 397 South Perry Road (Wolfensberger Road), south of Sedalia, Colorado, at 1:00pm, Friday, April 17, 2015. Diana's ashes will be interred at the United States Air Force Academy at a later date.
