Diane Lynn Block

Diane Lynn Block, age 70, of Commerce City, died on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at The Denver Hospice, Denver. She was born Diane Lynn Wood at Porter Hospital in Denver on January 31st, 1946, the daughter of George and Edna (Ives) Wood. She married Arnold ""Arnie"" Block on June 17, 1965, in Webster, SD. The couple were parents of three children, grandparents of 5 and great grandparents of 3. Diane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and would often help with Arnie's side endeavors. Some of the things she enjoyed were gardening, spending time with her family; going out to dinner and spending special holidays together. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. Preceding her in death were her parents, her son Jeff, her grandson Jack and siblings, Dean and Donald Wood. Survivors, grateful for having shared in her life, are her husband Arnie, children, Bonnie (Mike) Pinkerton and Stephanie (David) Thiele; grandchildren, Jessica (Andy), Amanda, Jeffry (Kayla) and Joey and great grandchildren Mackenzie, Angeline and J. She also leaves a sibling, Dale Wood of Longview, Texas. The pallbearers will be Jeffry Block, Joey Pinkerton, Lonnie Block, Andrew Hemphill, Mike Pinkerton and David Thiele. A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00am, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Elmwood Cemetery, 22 South 4th Avenue, Brighton, Colorado.
