Diane Lynn Bush passed away on October 2, 2022. She was 75 years old and passed peacefully with loved ones at her side.
Diane was born in Tiffin, Ohio on June 5, 1947. After graduating from high school, she attended Colorado State College, now the University of Northern Colorado, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in May of 1969. She loved teaching and went on to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Education at Arizona State University in December of 1978. She considered this one of the highlights of her life.
Diane loved to help others. She used her education and teaching expertise to aid undereducated adults earn a General Equivalency Degree (GED). Diane took immense pride in helping these less fortunate individuals pursue better opportunities in life.
Diane met her future husband Tom Bush through a mutual friend while she was attending ASU in Tempe, Arizona. They were married on August 30, 1975 and spent forty-seven wonderful years together. Diane got her wish to live in Colorado in 1995 when the family moved to Denver. Her most favorite hobbies were skiing, hiking, and camping in the nearby mountains. Her passion was the piano however, and she loved to play classical music, often serenading the neighbors as they passed by her open front bay windows on warm summer Colorado days.
After raising two wonderful children, Diane helped found and develop an independent retail store called the Front Range Birding Company. She loved helping others, was a pro at customer service, and adored by all those who frequented the store.
Diane was an incredibly supportive and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her sister Beverly were very close. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Wells Bush, her sister Beverly Hossler Burroughs, her daughter Janelle Beverly Johnson, her son John Arthur Bush, and her three grandchildren Tyler Allen Johnson, Dylan Thomas Johnson, and Isla Rebecca Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Lee Hossler and Claire Mae Hossler. She will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2022, at 12:30 PM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard Lakewood, Colorado 80227. The Rev. Kru Kruger will officiate the proceedings. Diane will be interred at Fort Logan Cemetery.
