Dolores Lozano

Dolores Lozano passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the young age of 70. She left this world as she lived it, thinking first of her family. Dolores was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer June 1, 2004. She was determined to fight this unwelcome intrusion in her life and she did so for eight years. Her endurance was a mystery to the nurses and doctors who cared for her. She left a loving imprint on her family and many others for generations to come. Dolores was preceded in death by her father, Robert Sandoval, her brother, Bobbie Sandoval, her sister, Velma Gallegos, and her sister, Gloria Ortega. Dolores is survived by her husband, Jesse Lozano, mother, Casey Sandoval, her brother, Phillip (Gloria) Sandoval, and her sister, Rita Sandoval. She is also survived by her 5 children, Edward Fajardo, Margaret Fajardo, Mercy (Ray) Cordova, James Lozano and Dominic (Amber) Lozano. In addition to Dolores 7 grandchildren: Jovita (Ben) Gonzales, Daniel (Nicole) Fajardo, Gabriel (Kasandra) Willis, Raymond Cordova, Joseph Cordova, Jessica Lozano and Naomi Lozano, she also had 16 great grandchildren: Benancio, Makayla, Jennifer, Alejandro, Juanito, Nevaeh, Daniel Jr., Jesse, Angel, Mandy, Aaliyah, Dre, Alexia, Amelia, Azuri and Malyah. A Rosary will be held Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 4:00 pm and Funeral Service Monday, June 11, 2012 at 10:00 am at Horan & McConaty 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood. Interment service at Mt. Olivet Cemetary in Wheatridge. Reception to follow at VFW 4747 W. Colfax Ave in Denver. Pallbearers are Daniel Fajardo, Gabriel Willis, Ben Gonzales, Raymond Cordova, Joseph Cordova and Raoul Villa, as per her wishes. In Our Hearts We thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday And days before that too. We think of you in silence. We often speak your name. Now all we have is memories And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake With which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping, We have you in our hearts.
