Dolores ""Dee"" Mauro

Dolores ""Dee"" Mauro was born August 1, 1928 in Ely, Nevada. Married to Frank (Joe) Mauro in 1944, they lived in Denver, Bailey and Evergreen, Colorado. Frank passed away in 1996 and in 2005 she married Stan Schacht who survives her. Dee is also survived by six children, Richard (LaVonne) Mauro, Vonda (Jim) Crain, Mark (Patricia) Mauro, Joe (Remy) Mauro, Roger ( Valerie) Mauro and Patrick Mauro. She will also be sadly missed by ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Haltom and Evie Regan and her brother Roger Kreimeyer. Dee was an accomplished quilter, an avid reader and the proud producer of countless homemade ravioli and authentic Italian cookies. She will be remembered for her love, devotion and selfless commitment to her family and friends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. The Interment will be held, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado. Attendance is requested by 10:15 am.
