Dolores Pugh

Dolores F. Pugh, 94, of Denver, CO, died August 10, 2022, at home with family following a stroke.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward E. Pugh, Jr.

Daughter of Francis Fergus and Evelyn (Dorner) Fergus, she was born in Sidney, Ohio on January 16, 1928.

She is survived by her two sons, Patrick Hickey of Golden, CO, and Michael Hickey of Arvada, CO, and daughter Mary K. Duke of Greenwich, CT; her three stepchildren, Timothy Pugh of Pinos Altos, NM, Janice Wohler of Denver and Anne Keeney of Lorton, VA; all their children’s spouses, many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Dolores was a professor and chair of the Department of Human Services at Metropolitan State University, a passionate alumna of the University of Denver where she earned her EdD, MS and BS, a world traveler, avid bridge player and ballroom dancer.

She was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church.
