Dolores D. Robinson, 87, of Denver, surrounded by her children, passed away of respiratory failure at 8:34 AM on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Dee was born December 3, 1924 in Detroit, MI, to Ralph Harry and Ethel Loreto DeVine, and resided in Denver since the early 1950's. She had been a professional model in her youth, including being the first ""Cadillac Girl,"" and was subsequently known as a loving wife, mother, grand-mother and great grand-mother, who enjoyed bridge, travel, golf and walking her dog, Queenie. Family and friends knew her as a consummate hostess and accomplished cook, and she was known in the community for her generous charitable giving, including volunteer work at St. Joseph's Hospital and docent work at the Denver Public Library. Dee was preceded by husband, F. George Robinson, Sr., by her siblings, Eulane Corby and Joseph Devine, and by former husband, Louis Arthur Loiseau. Dee was a beloved mother to Denis (Susan) Loiseau, Janine (Robert) Smith, Michele (Scott) Morris, Nicole (William) Vanderpoel, grandmother to Sara (Michael) Garcia, Nicole Smith, Patrick (Brooke Sampson) Smith, Madison Vanderpoel, Hunter Vanderpoel, Victoria Vanderpoel, and great grandmother to Jaxon Garcia. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 1, at Horan & McConaty Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, to be immediately followed by a reception at the Denver Country Club, 1700 E. First Avenue, Denver. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Child Advocates/Denver CASA, or Little Sisters of the Poor – Mullen Home. Dee will always be remembered fondly in our hearts.
