DON V. ROBERTS 1928-2016 Don V. Roberts, Professional Engineer, Distinguished Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and past President of the American Society of Foundation Engineers, passed away peacefully at home on 31 January 2016, surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by Charleen, his wife of 64 years, and four children, Jean (Leston), Lynn, Alan and Jim, as well as four grandchildren: Toby and Meredith Leston and William and Thomas Schneider. Don, who was a senior partner with Dames & Moore and a vice-president of CH2M Hill, was a pioneer of sustainable development in engineering and a leader in environmental conservation. He travelled extensively with his work and lived for several years in London, England. Don was a California native and Stanford graduate who enjoyed living in Denver for the past 25 years. He loved his family, travelling abroad, woodworking, DIY, being in the Rockies, going to museums and antique auctions in England and watching the Broncos. He will be fondly remembered by many for his creativity, vision, kindness, generosity and humor.
