Donald Dean Brickley was born in Columbus, Montana on May 25, 1937 to H.E. and Mary Brickley. One of eight kids, Don grew up on a ranch in Rapelje, Montana later moving to Billings for middle school. An avid sports fan, Don was named a Montana All-State High School football player in 1954 and graduated from Billings Senior High in 1955. Don continued his education at the University of Montana where he was a proud member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, graduating in 1959 with a BS in Business Administration.
Starting his career in sales for International Harvester, Don worked in various sales positions including Hallmark Cards. In 1969 he bought his first Hallmark store and built a successful family business with multiple Stacy’s Card & Gifts locations in Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico, selling the business in Feb. 2020.
Married to Shirley Sebo on October 12, 1968, Don and Shirley started their family in Arvada, Colorado where Don was a 40-year member of The Elks and Christ the King Episcopal Church. While building the Stacy’s Card & Gifts business in multiple states, Don remained rooted in Colorado attending 40 + years of Denver Broncos games and hundreds of Colorado Rockies games with friends and family. He was also a front row fan for his children’s Arvada sporting careers as well as his grandchildren’s games- travelling to watch all in multiple states with his wife Shirley.

Survived by his brother Robert, wife Shirley, daughter Stacy (Jim) Gibson and son John (Christy) Brickley, Don will always be the cherished grandfather of Cameron and Chase Brickley and Luke and Caroline Gibson.
