Donald L. France

Donald L. France, 93, entered into rest March 10, 2012. Beloved father of Shelley (Howard) Perkins, Susan France, and Diane (Larry) Niemiec; devoted grandfather of Garrison and Sierra Niemiec; and proud great grandfather of Sarah Boulineau. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years Bernadine V. France.

Don was raised in Worthing, SD where he began his interest in pharmacy while working at his father’s drug store. Prior to enlistment he served in the CCC. In 1941 he was inducted into the Army as a Heavy Artillery Gunman and was decorated while serving in the Aleutian Islands. After receiving his pharmacy degree, he worked at Colorado General where he met Bernadine, a nurse. They were the Rx for love and married Feb. 3, 1951. They were active members in the Mr. and Mrs. Club at All Souls Catholic Church. Don, an avid skier, enrolled all his daughters in ski school by the age of 5.

A Recitation of the Rosary will be followed by a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 20th, 10:00 AM at All Souls Catholic Church, 4950 South Logan Sreet in Englewood. A Committal Service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard in Denver will follow at 1:30 PM, Staging Area B.
