Don (Papa) Guisinger, 85
Our Papa entered into our Father's loving arms Thursday evening, May 2, 2019. Donald Neil Guisinger is survived by his loving wife Sarepta Janet Guisinger of 65 years; daughters Deborah Richey (Texas) and Cynthia Childs (Colorado); son Roger Guisinger (Texas); sister Margery Girtin (Colorado), 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Don was born on September 27, 1933 in Anadarko, OK. He served in the Navy as an aerial photographer before marrying his beloved wife Janet. He was a longtime resident of Denver, CO where he retired as a manager for Mountain Bell after 35 years of service. He and Janet then pursued their passion for the outdoors where they worked side-by-side as camp hosts under Thousand Trails. They quickly moved up the Thousand Trails ranks to Co-Directors overseeing multi-state campgrounds ranging from Colorado to Washington to Texas. They enjoyed this career for 25 years.
Celebration of Life, Monday, May 13, 2019 at 11:30 am, at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80227, followed by a full military honor graveside service at 1:30 pm, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO 80236.
Following the services, we will gather at the Guisinger home for food, drinks and to share stories of our Papa
