Donald Jones

Donald Jones, age 91, passed on February 14, 2014. Donald W. Jones of Centennial, Colorado passed away on February 14, 2014 in Tomball, Texas at the age of 91. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WWII as a technical sergeant on a B-17. He was a geophysicist with Sun Oil Company for over 30 years. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Betty Jane Hoch Jones and by his daughter Christine Goodwin and son-in-law Roger. He is survived by his daughter, Louise McCoy and husband Monte of Lewisville, TX; son, Bob Jones and wife Carla of Tomball, TX; daughter, Carolyn Carson of Austin, TX and nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Marjorie Smith and husband Phil of Cleveland, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was an avid fisherman, golfer, nature lover and world traveler. He passed away with his loving family by his side. Visitation 5-7 PM, Vigil 7 PM on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel located at 5303 E. County Line Road (One block west of Holly Street), Centennial. Funeral Mass at 12:30 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec with interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Nature Conservancy.
