Born in 1933 son of the late William and Rose (O'Brien) Lawless. He was 84 when he passed on January 11, 2018. He went to Regis high school and Regis college and then on to D.U. He and Carol Sue Frankenreiter were married in 1960. Dad was a Major in the Marines till 1972. Later, Donald would return to his original vocation, teaching. He taught at South High School, American History. He then transferred to Thomas Jefferson, where taught American History A.P. Classes and became Chairman of the department. He taught many classes at Risen Christ where he was also an usher and a extraordinary minster. His older brother Tim was a Jesuit priest and served at Risen Christ with Rev. Joseph OâMalley. Donald was very devoted and went to daily mass, after he retired. He taught, with his wife Carol, marriage preparation classes at Risen Christ and many years before at the small church off Cherry Creek Drive. Donald and all of the Lawless family grew up as daily rosary prayers. Donald is survived by his son Michael Lawless and was preceded in death by his loving wife Carol Sue Lawless.
