April 19, 1931 to August 2, 2010. Don was born in Newport, RI to loving parents Bertram and Pauline MacDonald. He attended high school at De La Salle and went to undergraduate at Providence College where he was a member of both the baseball and basketball teams. Don went on to received his Law Degree from Georgetown University, and later moved to Colorado with his wife Diane Carroll where he became a noted Denver Labor Attorney. A lawyer's lawyer, Don's support of and service to the ABA's Section of Labor and Employment Law are legend. Over the course of his legal career, he both chaired and was a member of innumerable committees and served as the 1995-96 Section Chair. Don was also one of the three founding fathers of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and Chaired the College in 1997-98. Don is survived by the passions of his life, his children: Theresa, Sheila (Mark Luna) and Patrick (Lunden); his grandchildren: Meaghan (19), Ian (15), Murphy (7), Maeve (6), Declan (2) and our angel Gus; Ann Fiegen; the Democratic Party; and, of course, the Boston Red Sox. Services will be held 2:00 PM aturday, August 7, at Capital Heights Presbyterian Church, 1100 Fillmore. His family and friends will truly and forever miss him, and his meaningful time on this earth will never be forgotten.
