Donald Leroy McKinster

Donald L. McKinster, 77, of Denver, passed from this life on February 23, 2009. Born March 24, 1932 in Denver, he was the son of Jesse Victor and Mary Josephine (Birkby) McKinster. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Ida (Peterson) McKinster; three sons, Clayton McKinster, Jerry McKinster, Stanley (Michele) McKinster; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Kier, Julie Widmer, Donna McKinster, Louann Skahill, Lance McKinster, Lindy Barnard, Jill Galuzzi; 7 great-grandchildren, Morgan Kier, Marissa Kier, Makaria Widmer, Tyler Widmer, Alina Widmer, Caroline & Chloe McKinster; two brothers, William McKinster & Robert McKinster; two sisters, Phyllis Humiston & Sharon Ullery; and his daughter-in-law, Peggy McKinster. Memorial Services will be 2:00 Friday, February 27, 2009, at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Interment services will be private in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Castle Rock. Memorials have been established with the National Kidney Foundation, 3151 S. Vaughn Way, Ste. 505, Aurora, CO 80014, and to the American Heart Association, 1280 S. Parker Rd., Denver, CO 80231.
