Donald Carl Nelson, 38, passed away on Saturday June 3, 2006, after a sudden, tragic accident while riding motocross with his friends. He lived his life more alive than many people ever experience and those he has left behind miss the brilliant fire that was his quirky humor, his unfailing generosity and his near limitless strength. Don was the owner of Cherry Creek Physical Therapy, PC, with offices in Denver and Aurora, and spent more than eight years helping others recover from injury and debilitating illness. He himself triumphed over many injuries and knew the road to recovery with a keen sense of determination, compassion and perseverance that was evident to all who ever had the opportunity of working with him in his clinics. Cherry Creek Physical Therapy is open and thriving, and will continue to do so because of his planning and care. His wife Cristina and a close network of friends and family invite those who knew and loved him to help celebrate his life by gathering at the Grant-Humphrey's Mansion at 770 Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 from 5-8pm. Gifts in his memory can be made through a donation in his name to the Children's Hospital or Habitat for Humanity, or any charity as Don was supportive of so many great causes. He will live on in all our hearts.
