Donald Lee Quinlin

March 17, 1945 — April 8, 2020

Donald Lee Quinlin, 75, passed away on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020. He is preceded in death by his father Myrl and his mother Goldie, his two brothers William and John Wayne and his sisters Mary Knieriem, Anna Sprinkle, Amzel Roberts, Sharon Smitley and Dorothy Jo. He is also preceded in death by his son Barry Wayne. He is survived by his wife Brenda of 57 years, his son Warren (Cheryl) and his daughter Kathy Hardesty (Patrick). Daughter-in-law, Vicki. His sisters Hazel Davis (Joe) and Brenda James (Durwood). And his grandchildren Gregg (Jen), Aaron (Carmen), Camille Kral (Brenton), Jeff (Jesse) and 10 greatgrandchildren. Don served 6 years in the Air Force with the rank of Airman 1st Class (A1C). He was a proud Vietnam Veteran. The United States Air Force brought him and his wife to Colorado. They fell in love with the Colorado Rocky Mountains and decided to make Colorado their home. He loved camping and shing…especially with his family. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting family
holidays and get-togethers. After his retirement from Xcel Energy, Don and Brenda were avid RVers and would travel the country with their two English Bulldogs. They were also antique tractor enthusiasts. They are members of Pax Christi Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch, CO. Don will have a military funeral and be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, Centennial, CO. In lieu of owers, memorial donations may be made to Pax Christie Catholic Church or a Catholic Church of the donor’s choice. Please leave condolences for Don’s family at HoranCares.com.
