Donald Roman

December 15, 1928 — December 6, 2020

Days away from his 92nd birthday, Don left us to rejoin his wife, Angie, his son, Danny, brother,Bill and sister, Rhetta. Don was born in Chicago at a rough time in our history.

His creative gifts, his sense of adventure, and his resilience led him to make the most of every talent, opportunity and challenge he encountered. After marrying Angela Surma, they made their way to Colorado, found a wonderful property behind the Colorado Railroad Museum, and started his own manufacturing company, Roman Products. Don made parts for Coors, for golf clubs, ski racks, snow plows, and his own invention Hugger Hooks. His shop is a wonder to behold, a showcase for what it takes to be a fine craftsman. Don was an artist, an inventor, a true problem solver.

We have lost a truly fine human being, a man of great kindness, integrity, humor and wisdom. His legacy is rich with good deeds and kind words for others. He leaves his son, Donald (Dee), daughter-in-law, Debi, grandchildren Jackee, Guy and Blaine Roman, and great grand-daughter, Ada.
