Donald William Schmitz

Donald William Schmitz, 77, passed away June 11, 2006, in Aurora, Colorado. He was born November 1, 1928 in Mitchell County, Kansas, a son of Hubert Allison and Alice Marie Schaffer Schmitz. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley May Weaver Schmitz, most recently of Salida, CO; daughter, Deborah Schmitz, of Aurora, CO; daughter, Caroline 'Carol' (husband, William) Repair, of Aurora, CO; and son, Donald William 'Bill' (wife, Cindy) Schmitz, Jr., of Azle, Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mabel Griffith, of Salem, OR; and Rose Lee Snowden, of St. Louis, MO. Donald was preceded in death by brothers, John and Delmar Schmitz The family will receive friends at Horan & McConaty - Parker Road , 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO on Thursday, June 15, 2006 from 5:00-6:00pm, followed by the Rosary to be held at 6:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006, at 11:00am, at Pax Christie Catholic Church, 5761 MacArthur Ranch Road, in Highlands Ranch, CO. Burial, Saint Simeon Cemetery, Aurora, Colorado.
