Donald E. VanArsdale

We are very sad to announce the passing of Donald E. VanArsdale. Donald passed away on November 4, 2019 and is survived by four children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrea, in 2009. Don was born on February 23, 1931 in Hugo, CO and lived most of his adult life in Denver, CO. He graduated from Colorado A & M College (now CSU) and served in the US Air Force from 1952-1956 and the reserves until 1960. While serving in Great Lakes, IL, he met Audrea and they were married in Kenosha, WI on August 4, 1953. Don and Audrea had four children, Paul, Heidi, Brian and Cody. All live in the Denver Metro area. While attending to his insurance business, Don donated his time and energy to many service groups, committees, and public-service programs including Mt Zion and Faith Lutheran churches, Hyland Hills Parks and Recreation, the Hyland Hills Foundation, Westminster Rotary, the Westminster Community Arts Series, the Adams County School District 50 Board of Directors and the Rotary International Student Exchange Program.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 15, at 11am at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 500 Drake St. Denver.
