Donald Ian Wallace

Donald Ian Wallace, age 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Colorado on Wednesday July 1, 2015. He was born on March 14, 1944 to John and Dorothy (Whisker) Wallace in Dagenham, England. Donald attended South East Essex Technical College (now University of East London) where he received a Mechanical Engineering degree. On October 16, 1965, he married his high-school sweetheart Elizabeth Victoria Bray and, in their 55 wonderful years together, they raised three sons. In 1978, he and Elizabeth moved their young family to the United States where Donald excelled as an entrepreneur, author, mentor and the holder of multiple patents. His sons remember him as a driven, brilliant man and a giving, supportive father who encouraged them to pursue their dreams. Donald was passionate about cycling, SCUBA diving, photography and, most of all, spending time with his family. Donald was preceded in death by John McDonald Wallace, Dorothy Alice Wallace and Alan John Wallace. Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth; sons Paul (Michele), Stuart and Mark (Lauren); 8 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service, followed by a reception will be held on July 9th at 1pm at Horan & McConaty located at 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014.
