Donald J. Walther

Donald Joseph Walther was born November 7, 1933 in Evanston, Illinois. Don was one of three children, the oldest being Cole and then his sister Barbara. Don attended Kemper Military Academy as a youth and then went on to Beloit College. Subsequently, Don joined the Army and was stationed in Germany where he discovered the love of car racing. He attended a racing school in France and raced in Europe and the U.S. until his third child was born. Don met Jordis Lindner at a party at Northwestern University and they soon married. They had three wonderful children Guy, Shelly and David and were married for 51 years. Don has five grandchildren that he was very proud of; Tyler and Max Vermillion, Zia Walther, Grace Walther and Miles Walther. Don enjoyed a successful career in various business ventures but worked primarily as a Real Estate Broker and General Manager of various land developments in the U.S. and Mexico. He loved golfing and spending time with his friends. Don and Jordis gave the gifts of love, humor and pride to their children and families.
