Donald William Wilson

April 26, 1931 — March 2, 2010

Donald W. Wilson, retired president of Leadville Mining & Milling Corp., passed away peacefully on March 2, 2010 after a short illness. He was an Army Veteran and received the Korean Service Medal with two bronze service stars. He knew from an early age that mining would be his passion and he devoted his life to various pursuits in both Colorado and New Mexico. He was born in Leadville and was proud of his third generation heritage. He was a firm believer in the Second Amendment and supporter of the NRA. He was also a member of the Society of Mining Engineers and the Colorado Mining Association for many years. He is survived by his wife Judy of Lakewood and his son William of Seattle. Visitation, TODAY, 1-8PM, Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood. Funeral Service, Fri., 2PM, also at the funeral home with burial following at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Donations to the National Rifle Association, 11250 Waples Mill Rd., Fairfax VA 22030.
