Donna Lee Denner

Donna Lee Denner, age 73, went to be with our Creator on Saturday, May 9th, 2009. She was born May 4, 1936, in Galeton, Colorado to Andrew and Onalee Reed Mueller. She was raised in Denver and graduated from East High School in 1954. Her first job out of high school was working as a dental assistant for Dr. Lawrence Willis where she remained until 1963 upon the birth of her first child. She married James E. Denner in December of 1955. They had two children, Jim and Tami and were later blessed with a daughter-in-law, son-in-law and five grandchildren. After her children graduated from high school, she went to work for a bakery, but wound up back at the beloved dental office where she began until she retired. Donna was very active in her church since her salvation as a teen. She loved working with children and was the children's coordinator for the past 38 years at Central Baptist Church in Aurora. She loved the one true God with all her heart and reflected His love to everyone she met. Donna is survived by her son, Jim Denner (and wife Willa Sue) of Villa Ridge, Missouri; daughter Tami McGuinnis (and husband Mike), of Aurora; five grandchildren, Hunter, Blake and Dalys McGuinnis; and Luke and Rebekah Denner. Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim; and siblings, Forrest ""Frosty"" Mueller, Dale Mueller and Margie Shecter. A visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13th, from 6:30-8:30 pm, at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora. The Funeral service will be on Thursday, May 14th, 10:00 am, at Central Baptist Church of Aurora, 29 Del Mar Circle, Aurora. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 So. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, on Thursday, May 14th, at 1:30pm, ""B"". In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Children's Division, 29 Del Mar Circle, Aurora, CO 80011.
