Donna L. Foss

July 25, 1940 — October 16, 2019

Donna Louise Foss, passed on October 16th, 2019. She was born July 25th, 1940 in Alliance, Nebraska, daughter of Stanley and Marie (Cavey) Kisicki.

She has left behind her loving husband, Jerome Jay Foss, Jr. (Jerry), with whom she enjoyed 51 years of marriage; her children: Jim (Kimberly) Foss, Joseph (LeAnn) Foss, Angie (Todd) Trautman; grandchildren: Steven and Juliana Foss; Augustine, Xavier, Thérèse and Bernadette Foss; Theresa, Grace, Maria, Joe, Peter, and Charlie Trautman; her siblings: Ken (Sue) Kisicki, Mary Gilmor, Carol Plummer, Phyllis (Garrell) Blount and sister-in-laws Gloria Kisicki and Jody Foss.
She was preceded in death by her parents Stan and Marie Kisicki, and Jerome Jay Foss, Sr. (Jerry) and Marian Foss, as well as her daughter, Nancy Lynn Foss; sisters: Julia Bakke and Paula McIntosh, brother Bernard Kisicki, brothers-in-law: Jim Gilmor, Bill Bakke, Larry Hawn, Jim Plummer, Bud McIntosh and sister-in-law Patricia Hawn.

Donna graduated from Alliance High School, and moved to Denver in the early 1960s. She worked for over 40 years at the Aurora Adams County Medical Society. Donna was a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church and was proud to serve on the parish board at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for many years. Always one to try new hobbies, she explored everything from knitting to crocheting and led the family genealogy effort by managing the family tree and history. She enjoyed water aerobics at the JCC and rooting on both the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Denver Broncos. She would admit to being directionally challenged, but that did not stop her from traveling to Ireland and exploring around the United States with her husband, family and grandchildren. She loved the invention of the GPS! During retirement her focus was on her grandchildren. She loved to splash with them in the pool, play in the park, and babysit. Her grandkids often jumped right into her big bucket of toys spoiling themselves with all the fun gadgets. In addition to her family adventures, Donna enjoyed her time, conversations and travels with her best friend Delores Bennett.

Donna’s fun-loving, bright, and bubbly spirit will be lovingly missed by all her family, friends, and loved ones.
