Donna Marie Hackett, 65, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away at home after an extended illness. She was born in Denver, Colorado to John and Wilma Hackett, and she lived in Colorado her entire life. As a child, she lived with her parents and seven siblings first on Milwaukee Street then at 7th & York Street. She attended Saint Philomena School and East High School. She was a talented florist with her own flower shop, Floral Showcase, and she worked with her parents in their flower shop. She was a favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews: Kathy, Kelly, Karen, Wendy, Tina, Gina, Jamie, Andrea, Bryon, Sean, Patrick, Keely, Alisa, Kimberly, Jonathan, Prudence, Sebastian, William, Zach, Jeremiah, Sara, Damian, and Charity. Many happy memories were made at Auntie Donna's house, where there were weekly pizza parties and a backyard swimming pool. Donna was also loved and adored by her great-nephews and nieces. She had a hilarious sense of humor and an adventurous spirit. She loved to laugh and be with family. She loved music and she was an accomplished self-taught guitarist and singer. She sang at siblings' weddings and had occasional gigs around Denver. Donna was an artist and inventor and created beautiful glass and metal lamps, candle holders and Christmas ornaments. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Ronald) Boshart, and brothers, John (Patricia) Hackett, Christopher (Terry) Hackett, Gerard (Lakshmi) Hackett, and James Hackett, and family friend, Cindy Sutherland. Donna is also survived by her beloved dog, Snowball. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Wilma Hackett, brother, Thomas Hackett, and sister, Barbara Johannes.
