Donna Joyce Keesling

Donna Joyce Keesling, age 86, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away May 5, 2015. She was born October 10, 1928 in Tracy, California to George Simon and Alberta Ethel Meyers Baker. Donna grew up in California and also started her family in California. She rode bikes and played tennis with her best friend Norma Jean (who remained friends to this day). They also cut apricots and husked almonds. Donna graduated from Los Gatos Union High School. She worked at Phil Coyle Chevrolet and retired from J.C. Penneys. Santa Cruz beach was a popular place you would find Donna with her family. She really enjoyed painting pottery. Donna also enjoyed family history and worked for many years on her ancestry. Donna married Allan R. Keesling, who preceded her in death April 15, 2002. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. During her last year after breaking her hip she especially enjoyed coloring and painting with great granddaughter Mikayla. Donna is survived by three children, Byron (daughter-in-law Leona) Keesling, Dennis Keesling, and Peggy (son-in-law Randy) Hinton; six grandchildren, John Keesling, Richard Keesling, Jesse Hinton, Tammy Hinton, Dylan Hinton and Casey Hinton; several great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Bonnie Baker. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and Gene Baker and five step-siblings. A Viewing will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015, 9:30-10:30am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4655 Table Mesa Drive, Boulder. A Viewing in California will be held Friday, May 15, 2015, 11:00am-12Noon, at the Crosby N. Gray Funeral Home, 2 Park Road, Burlingame, CA. 94010, followed by a Graveside service at 1:00pm, at The Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane, San Bruno, CA. 94066.
