A proud veteran, Donna served both in the Navy and the Army, embodying the virtues of strength and resilience. Her military career not only highlighted her bravery but also laid the foundation for her distinguished service in the Veterans Administration, where she devoted twenty years of her life to caring for those who had gallantly served before her. With finesse and compassion, she championed the needs of veterans, ensuring they received the support and respect they deserved.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Donna will remember her as a gentle yet fiercely tenacious spirit, whose kindness illuminated the lives of many. She leaves behind her beloved son, Ken Zumwalt, and her beloved daughter, Susan Zumwalt, who carry forth their mother’s legacy of valor and compassion.
The interment service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver, Colorado, on January 30, 2025, beginning at 12:00pm.
