Donna May Steele

April 20, 1928 — August 24, 2008

Donna May Steele, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully Sunday, August 24, 2008, at home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Donna was born in Brigham City, Utah to Jessie Emma Young and Thayne Bonapart Jensen on April 20, 1928. She married her sweetheart Martin in Brigham City, UT on April 20, 1951. Donna is survived by her husband of 57 years Martin; five children, Kevin, Brad, Cindy Blaisdell, Rick, Wendy O'Brien; 15 grandchildren, Matthew, Jeff, Greg, Nathan, Brittany, Stephanie; Ryan and Danelle; Angela Morgan, Chris, Loren Orullian, Alex, and Garrett Blaisdell; McKell and Bailey O'Brien; two great grandchildren, Cade Morgan and Brandon Steele; sister, Jolene Randall and brother, Farrell Jensen. Donna's first love was always her family. She will forever be remembered as a loving and proud mother, the most generous and adoring grandmother and great grandmother who cherished each of her children and grandchildren. Donna had a way of making things beautiful and she appreciated the beauty around her. She was very talented and loved painting with watercolors, decorating, quilting for the sick and many other humanitarian efforts, meeting with her empty nester friends, cooking, teaching, listening and showing unconditional love. Her service in the LDS church included serving as Primary President for 8 years, serving in the Relief Society and in many other capacities. Donna always said ""Live well, Laugh often, Love much!"" A viewing will be held Friday, August 29, 2008, from 7:30-8:15am with the Funeral Service beginning at 8:30 am, both at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Clement Park Ward, 6705 South Webster Street (Coalmine and Webster) in Littleton, CO. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd, Denver at 10:30am, Staging Area ""B"".
