Donna was born in Wheatland, Wyoming to Irma Louise Scholten Lewis and Henry Daniel Scholten, one of three siblings.
During her teen years, the family moved to Sterling, Colorado where she graduated from Sterling High School and met the “love of her life” Donald Lee Hoskins. Next, she attended CU Boulder and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. Donna spent the rest of her life in Colorado as a loving mother to daughter Kimberly and son Murry. One of the hobbies she was most proud of were her beautiful Quilting projects. She also enjoyed listening to Classical music, going to the Opera, and playing the Piano. Like her mother before her she proudly belonged to the PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) and served as President of the EO Chapter.
Her next love was Volunteering at Porter Memorial Hospital and Littleton Hospital in various roles including the Director of Guest Relations and Colorado Association of Hospital Auxiliaries.
After years as a Volunteer at these hospitals, she accepted the position of Director of Volunteer Services, also serving as Patients Advocate, Manager of Gift Shop operations and buyer of the shops inventory “oh, how she loved to shop!” She retired at the age of seventy-nine.
After her husband Don retired from his privately owned/operated Architectural Engineering firm, they shared various amazing, and memorable adventures vacationing in Europe, Hawaii, and Panama.
