Doris Jean Elliott

Saturday November 9, 2019, Doris Jean Elliott past away peacefully at her home in Littleton, Colorado. By her bedside where her husband Frank Elliott, and her six children Edward, Susan, Phillip, James, Thomas and Steven. Visitation, Tuesday November 12, 2019, 6:00pm at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home (5303 East County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122), followed by Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass, Wednesday November 13, 2019, 10:30am at Saint Mark's Catholic Church (9905 Foothills Canyon Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129), internment to follow at Seven Stones cemetery (9635 N Rampart Range Rd, Littleton, CO 80125).

Doris was born in Coffeyville, Kansas and is the oldest of 10 siblings. The family moved to Louisville, Colorado in 1949. While attending Louisville High School, Doris met the love of her life and future husband Frank. They were married in 1952 have been married for 67 years. Their life together brought them 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Doris was actively involved in many organizations in her community and she nurtured many rich friendships. She was actively involved in church, Model A Ford Club, Bridge Club, Grand Squares Square Dancing and Gardening Clubs. Her family remembers her enjoyment of family get togethers and camping trips, gatherings of their friends, her fabulous cooking, dancing, gospel, and going to the Bull and Bush to hear big band and Dixieland music. She proudly worked for the Denver Public Schools for more than 15 years.
