Doris Over entered eternal life on February 3, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Denver on September 12, 1932, to Ralph Frederick and Estelle Proffit, and lived in Denver and the greater Denver area her entire life. She attended Denver Public Schools and Red Rocks Community College. She married Eugene A. Over on January 3, 1953, and they remained married until his death in August 1999. They had three children: Michael, Sharon, and Eugene Jr. Doris worked for many years as a book-keeper and accounting para-professional for a variety of employers, including a doctor's office, a radio station, a real estate development company, and a CPA firm. But the center of her life was always her family, including her parents and parents-in-law, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews, and finally, grandchildren. She was never happier than when she had a house full of family she could love. She is survived by her children, Mike and Kathy Over of Slidell Louisiana, Sharon Bakke and Greg Simonds of Lone Tree, Colorado, and Eugene Over, Jr. and Kelly Flynn of Brussels, Belgium. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gene Over (and his wife Tiffany), Jennifer Over, Kristen Post (and her husband, Brett Post), Erika Bakke, and Rhys Over, and by a great-grandchild, Ethan Over. Memorial Services will be held in Doris' memory on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Rd. Centennial, CO 80122. A time of continued fellowship and refreshment will be held immediately following. In notes she left behind, she wanted us to know: ""Death is not the end; I am with all of my loved ones on Earth and in heaven. If you need me, just call my name. I'm there.""
