Doris Turcotte Thomas, 82, of Littleton, Colorado passed away January 31, 2018. She was born March 24, 1935 in Skowhegan, Maine to Josephine and J. Alfred Turcotte. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years Alan Thomas; her son Michael Alan Thomas, and her daughter Susan Jane Thomas; her brothers Robert Turcotte, Raymond Turcotte, and Kenneth Turcotte. Doris is survived by her daughters Patti Thomas of Colorado Springs and Karen Watson (Jim) of Littleton, and her grandsons Jeff Bradshaw (Ashley) of Colorado Springs, and Alex & Ben Watson of Littleton. Doris was a graduate of Colby College in Waterville Maine, and was a pioneer in software engineering starting at General Electric in 1957. She was a dedicated mother, and returned to the workforce developing software for defense contractors. Doris was active in her church and a devout Catholic. She loved football, and remained a devoted Pittsburgh Steeler fan. She was loved by so many, and was always the port in any storm. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7th from 5-7 PM. The service will be held on Thursday, February 8th at 10:00 AM at Horan & McConaty: 5303 E County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado 80122.
