Born in Kearney, NE on March 11, 1923 Died on January 18, 2009 and resided in Lakewood, CO. Dorolea Book, daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, entered into eternal life on January 18 at age 85. The eldest daughter of Lee and Gertrude Dugdale, Dorolea was the last remaining member of the Dugdale family, preceded in death by her brother, Ron Dugdale (1995) and sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Sternenberger (2005). Dorolea was married 48 years to the late, Elmer Book Jr. and was preceded in death by her daughter -Roberta Moore, age 39 (1997). Dorolea is survived by her children - Patricia McCune of San Jose, CA, Thomas Book of Wheatridge, Beverly Howe of Denver, Debra Jundt-Ivey of Denver, Lawrence Book of Lakewood, and Stephen Book of Littleton; her seventeen grandchildren - Travis and McKensie Book (Tom & Debbie), Kristen and Jimmy Howe (Bev & Doug); Frank, Brian and Dan Jundt (Deb & Tom), John, Scott and Bob Book (Larry & Jackie), Theresa, Nick and Rebecca Moore (Roberta & Steve), Nicholas and Lauren Book (Steve & Cass) and her nine great-grandchildren – Charlie Jundt (Frank & Carrie), Benjamin Jundt (Brian & Sian), Allison and Emma Jundt (Dan &Kim), Noelani Book (Travis & Julie), Robert, Kaitlyn, Madalyn and Dillon Book (Bob & Mona). Dorolea graduated from St. Francis de Sales Catholic High School in 1941 and attended the University of Denver. At the age of 18, Dorolea married the love of her life, Elmer, whom she met while working at Montgomery Wards in Denver. After WW II, she and Elmer moved to the Washington D.C. area and lived there for a year prior to returning to Denver where they raised their family. Dorolea was a devoted sister and aunt to her large extended family (17 nieces and nephews). Dorolea enjoyed traveling, bowling (185 average), and spending time with friends and family.
