Dottie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She mothered her children - James (Jim), Kimberlee (Kim), and Bradley (Brad) - with a resourceful spirit and nurtured them with love and encouraged them to reach for their individual goals. She relied on her strong Christian values and loved her Lord by serving him in many capacities throughout her life. She instilled in her children her love for her country, and passed on a solid value system, including a spirit of volunteerism and a love of nature. Dottie had a passion for helping children and adults with special needs. Dottie understood their challenges and enjoyed their unconditional love. She made friends easily and enjoyed spending time with all. Dottie faced many challenges as she battled epilepsy most of her life. Dottie knew God was stronger than any problem she faced and always kept a fighting attitude with each setback. Dottie was committed to taking care of the home and raising her children. Dottie also worked as a Key Punch Operator then as an Avon Representative for many years. Dottie was always volunteering to help in the community including helping in the local schools and serving her church, Phillips United Methodist Church. Dottie’s grandchildren Amy, Amber, Kara (Josh), Chad, Haley, Catey, Hannah and great-grandchildren Callum, Kayden, Kailani, Brendon, Kolton and Keenan were her greatest joy! She loved her nickname “GGma”. She enjoyed playing games and coming up with projects and things to do with the kids. She would never hesitate to brag about her grandchildren and their accomplishments to her circle of friends. Dottie is survived by her loving husband Kenny, her brother Richard “Dick” Bradley, brother-in-law Jack Hollis, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
