Dorothy M. Anderson

Dorothy M. Anderson, 96, of Parker, Colorado, passed away peacefully December 28, 2019. She was born November 10, 1923 in New Rockford, North Dakota, to Rasmus and Karen Johnson, immigrants from Norway.

Dorothy's husband of 71 years, Sidney Anderson, preceded her in death on November 18, 2015. Sidney was 96 at his passing.

Dorothy grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and lived there until 1994, when she and Sid moved to Denver. She and her family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 37 years old. She was devoted to her family, church and faith throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving family; sons, Brian (Connie) and Ward (Karen) and daughter, Barbara (Karl) Tobler; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. All seven siblings predeceased her.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 11755 Tara Lane, Parker, CO 80134. A visitation will be held at the Church on Saturday, from 10:00-10:45 AM.

A private burial will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Monday.
