Dorothy Edell Bean

Dorothy Edell Bean, 94, died Sunday morning, December 30, 2018 at Denver Hospice, Lowry. She is survived by a son, Dr. Timm Edell, daughter-in-law, Kathleen O'Brien, grandchildren Chris Edell (Kathy), Heather O'Keeffe (Adrian), Sasha Bartnett (Shamus), Laura Edell (James Grigsby), Tom Fry, and great-grandchildren Gus Grigsby, Sienna Bartnett and Kaia Edell. Dorothy was preceded in death by husbands Bob Edell and Alfred Bean.

Dorothy was born in Bloomington, Illinois on August 23, 1924. She worked as a registered nurse for State Farm insurance before marrying Bob Edell in 1947. Dorothy enjoyed golf, a good bridge game, and being with friends and family. She had an infectious laugh and particularly liked a nice glass of Scotch before dinner.

It was Dorothy's wish not to have a memorial service. The family requests that any donations be made to Denver Hospice, 501 South Cherry Street, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80246.
