JoAnn Bradley passed away peacefully, surrounded by members of her loving family, on April 16, 2025, just 9 days shy of her 100th birthday. A beloved mother, grandmother and friend, JoAnn was born in Bloomington, Illinois, the youngest of two children. At a young age, she moved to Ellis, Idaho where she rode her horse to and from school every day. JoAnn loved to tell stories about her growing up with her friends in that beautiful, remote part of the country.
As a teenager, she moved to Los Angeles, where during World War II she would go to the Hollywood Palladium to dance to all the big bands like Glenn Miller and Arti Shaw. JoAnn was a gifted dancer and truly “came alive” on the dance floor with an energetic spirit that inspired everyone around her.
JoAnn moved to Florida, where she married John Bradley…they had two daughters, Vicki and Velda and settled in Denver to raise their family. After John passed away, JoAnn met the love of her life, James “Jimmy” Lee, and over the next 45 years they travelled extensively, shared adventures and formed an enduring, loving relationship with each other that was admired by all.
JoAnn was the matriarch of her 5 generation family and above all, cherished her time with her family. Her energetic personality, sense of humor and loving spirit will be sorely missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
JoAnn is survived by her daughters Vicki Ervin and Velda Schleufer, her grandchildren Tiffany, Jennifer, Kristin and Jared, her great-grandchildren Tyler, Ryleigh, Victoria, Savannah, Madison, Hailey, Luke, Damian and Jaxon, and her great-great-grandchildren Blaire, Leila and Ellie.
