Dorothy Brummit

Dorothy Odessa Brummit, age 97, passed away at Broomfield Skilled Nursing Center on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. She was born February 20, 1923 in Downing, Missouri. Dorothy married Pearl "Pete" E. Brummit on August 23, 1945 and they settled and raised their family in Westminster, Colorado. She was a homemaker, loving mother, great cook, and one tough sweet lady! She accompanied Pete on many fishing and camping excursions; they enjoyed taking road trips! Dorothy loved playing the piano and also played the organ and accordion in her younger days.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Lonnie (Hazel) Brummit, Bruce (Lori) Brummit, Lisa (Scott) Virden; daughter-in-law, Kathy Brummit; and numerous grandchildren and great-grand children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete; son, Jim Brummit; grandson, Timothy James "TJ"; and all 11 of her siblings.
