Dorothy Fay Samuelson Connolly, age 87 passed away in Northglenn Colorado on Thursday, July 5, 2018

Dorothy was born in Weskan , KS on September 19, 1930 to Lawrence Samuelson and Barbara (Godfrey) Samuelson. She grew up in Weskan, the third of five girls, graduating, valedictorian the class of 1948.

She married Rex E Connolly on September 1, 1948. From this union three children were born, Steve (Becky) of Sun City, AZ, Jim (Christy) of Kittredge CO and Melinda Cavanah (John) of Thornton CO.

She started married life as a wife, homemaker and mother. In 1962, when the family moved to Lakewood CO, she began working outside the home, eventually becoming a bookkeeper. Spending several of those years, working with her husband, Rex at his Certified Public Accounting office.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Ruth Hoss, Grace Gerstner and Jeanie Byrd and one nephew, Cayle Hoss.

She is survived by her three children, one sister, MaryEllen Glasco (Rex) of Tucson, AZ, four grandchildren, Jennifer Bein (Mike) of Broomfield CO, Amy Taylor (Matt Landers) of San Diego CA, Megan Cavanah of Thornton CO & Cody Cavanah (Kate) of Gladstone OR, 4 Great Grandchildren, Garrett, Brady, Ryann and Logan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the Weskan Bible Church, formerly Weskan Methodist Church in Weskan, KS on Friday, Sepember 21, 2018 at 10:30 in the morning.
