Dorothy ""Dots"" Davis

September 28, 1926 — February 16, 2019

Surrounded by her dedicated and loving family, Dorothy Katherine (Yeager) Davis passed from this life and assuredly into heaven February 16, 2019 at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, CO. ""Dots"" was born September 28, 1926 in Denver, CO. She grew up the youngest child of immigrants from Russia (father, Conrad Yeager) and Germany (Mary Miller Yeager). She is preceded in death by her brother (Conrad Yeager, Jr.) and is survived by her sister, Ruth Yeager Wolf of Florence, AZ).

She was a child of the Great Depression and an adolescent during World War II, but because of the strength of her parents and despite the impediments of the time, Dorothy thrived. She graduated from Denver North HS in 1944, and completed her diploma from Central Business School in 1946. Dorothy met and married her husband, Garry L. Davis, September 14, 1947, who has preceded her in death, June 18, 1999. Together they formed a blessed union and family for over 50 years.

Dots was renowned for her wry wit and good natured humor. She was a much sought-after bridge partner due to her amazing card playing skills. With her friend, Jody Ernster, she began the St. Mary's High School Bridge Group, which acted as both a social gathering for friends and a fund raiser for the school. She also was gifted with a beautiful voice, spending her entire life singing as an alto in the many choirs she joined. She had the ability to see a music note on a page and then sing it perfectly. Dots spent much time volunteering at her church with the Altar and Rosary Society and Bereavement Ministries. She especially loved running the Bingo Program! And, she could make the world's best German Chocolate Cake. Most importantly, her most lofty accomplishments were her children, who were so lucky to have her as their mother. Every one of her children have her jesting nature and have employed this trait often during life's challenges.

Dorothy is survived by her five children (D'Ann, Kevin, Carol, Kay, & Kyle), their spouses, ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren: (Mary) D'Ann Murphy of Aurora, CO, and her three children: Andrea Heckman of Metairie, LA plus her son Gunner, Kim Campbell and her spouse AJ of Broomfield, CO, Mark and Bryana Murphy of Denver, CO plus their daughter Jamison; Kevin and Mary of Denver, CO, and their three children: Kelly and Dave Urban of Denver, CO plus their children John, Katie, and Alexander; Ryan and Tara Davis of Plymouth, MI, plus their children Leo and Mila; Kolleen and Dan Konecny of Denver, CO plus their child Ella; Carol and Dick Irwin of Germantown, TN, and their two children: Beth and Justin Miller of Germantown, TN plus their children James and Henry; and Abby (engaged to J. Tanner Ball) of Johnson City, TN; Kay of Denver, CO; and Kyle and Shelly of Guymon, OK, and their two children Roman and Katherine. Dorothy will be missed, but her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has had a prosperous life in so many ways, and was ever so grateful for the time she had here.
