Dorothy Marie (Russell) Grant passed away Sunday, December 11th, at Littleton Adventist Hospital with family at her side. She was born December 18, 1924 to Augustus and Mary Elizabeth Russell in Denver. Dorothy was the third of six children of which Rose Lillian Carbone is living. She was educated at Annunciation Catholic High School. Dorothy married Charles Stephen Grant II on January 5, 1952. They made their home in Littleton and were married 60 years. Dorothy loved traveling with her husband and enjoyed many a destination with Ports of Call Travel Club. A talented artist, gardener and gourmand, Dorothy was also a keen bridge player. Dorothy and Charles were founding parishioners of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband; sister Rose; daughter Kathleen (Rick) Runyan of Greeley, CO; sons, C. Stephen III of Los Angeles, CA, and John (Dawn) of Highlands Ranch, CO. She is also survived by four grandchildren Jeffrey Runyan, Scott (Maggie) Runyan, Brittany (Scott) Protain, Kortney Runyan and many nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Sunday, December 18th at 6:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of South Holly Street) in Centennial. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street in Centennial, Monday, December 19th at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception at the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dorothy's name to St. Thomas More for ""A New Harvest"" a campaign for The Seminaries of The Archdiocese of Denver.
