Dorothy Curtice Hartwell

HARTWELL, DOROTHY CURTICE 1933 - 2012 Dorothy Anne Curtice Hartwell died peacefully, at home, Sunday, August 19, 2012. With her at the time were her beloved husband, Hugh Bronsdon Hartwell and her three children: Catherine Hall Hartwell of Malinalco, Mexico, Anne H. Urquhart (Quentin) of New Orleans, LA, and David Curtice Hartwell (Amy) of Lake Forest, IL. She is also survived by her four grand-children: Katherine Harlow and Elizabeth Trist Urquhart, and Isabelle Clair and Ian Bronsdon Hartwell. Dorothy Anne was born August 19, 1933 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Harlow H. and Dorothy B. Curtice. In early years she was educated in Flint, Michigan. Later she graduated from Kingswood School Cranbrook, Broomfield Hills, Michigan, 1951; Bradford Jr. College, Haverhill, Mass. 1953; and Connecticut College, New London CT, 1955. Dorothy and Hugh were married in Flint, Michigan, June 16, 1956. They enjoyed spending their time with their children and grandchildren, as well as extensive worldwide travel, especially on cruise ships. Burial will be private.
