Dorothy Jean Kershaw

June 11, 1929 — March 10, 2017

It is with sadness that the family of Dorothy Kershaw announces her passing on March 10, 2017. She was born on June 11, 1929, daughter of Elvira and Leonard Anderson. She was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. where she married her husband, Jay Austin Kershaw, in 1949. Dorothy spent her later years traveling extensively with Jay before settling down in 2003 at Covenant Village, Westminster, CO. She lived a long and a good life, marred only by dementia in her later years; she died peacefully at her home in Westminster. Dorothy was an artist, painter, and seamstress; generously sharing her gifts with so many of her friends and family. Even more, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a dedicated Christian, active her entire life in the Evangelical Covenant Church. Her generosity, kindness and talent were evident to all around her. She is now joyfully reunited in heaven with her husband of 65 earthly years, Jay, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Carol Gustavson of Westminster, Colorado; son, Kevin (Patty) Kershaw of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; daughter, Mary (Jeffrey) Miller of South Hamilton, Massachusetts; granddaughters, Amanda Miller, Jennifer Kershaw, and Renee Kershaw.
