Dorothy Ann Lewis, 94, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully August 18, 2018. She was born January 16, 1924 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Percy C. and Florence L. Broady.
Dorothy was married to her beloved husband, Willard H Lewis Jr. for 67 years. Willard was born September 29, 1919 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Willard H. and Sallie Lewis. He passed away December 20, 2010 in Aurora. At the time of his passing, Willard had retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, having served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
Being a spouse to one who serves in the military is not an easy task. Dorothy Ann, however, supported her husband faithfully during his military career and in doing so, helped him to serve our Country.
Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be missed by many.
Dorothy and Willard are survived by their three children: John B. ""Jack"" Lewis; Sally L. Butler; and Marilyn Fotis (husband, Andy); six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by not only her husband, but also her brother, Jack Broady and her parents.
A graveside service honoring both the lives of Dorothy and Willard will be held at 2:30 pm, on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO. Please gather in Staging Area âB' within the gates of Fort Logan at 2:15 pm.
