Dorothy Marie Maher Feb. 17, 1927 - April 10, 2014 Dorothy (Haman) Maher, 87, died at her Lakewood home after a long illness. An Ohio native, Dorothy was born in Tiffin to John and Agnes (Trausch) Haman. She was a registered nurse for over 40 years, retiring from St. Anthony's Central, Denver. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Maher, Sr.; and six children, Charles Maher, Jr. of Monument; Kathleen (Charles) Harkins of Casper, WY; Christopher (Lee) Maher of Arvada; Thea (Frank) Watt of Grand Junction; Patricia (Bob) Davis of Lakewood; Matthew Maher (Kathryn Johanknecht) of Denver; her sister, Sr. Clare Haman, CSA of Fond du Lac, WI;her sister in-law Peggy Haman; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; sister-in-law Jane Farson of Wheat Ridge; brothers-in-law, Donald Maher of Denver and John Maher of Dunedin, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Her parents, brothers John Haman, Paul Haman and Charles Haman, sisters Louise Akers and Mary Peters, brother-in-law Joseph Maher preceded her in death. Dorothy was a loving wife, mom and grandma. She was a long time parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Lakewood. She enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, ice cream and the Denver Broncos.
