Dorothy May Parsons was born on September 17, 1927 in Rocky Ford, Colorado and passed away on February 18, 2014 in Lakewood, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Parsons and granddaughter Tammy Liggett. She is survived by her children Ruth & Mel Liggett, Marilyn & Randy Sullivan, Genevieve Gallegos, Jay & Vickie Parsons, and Merlin Parsons; grandchildren Sheila Carter, Scott Liggett, Shawn Goure, Lacy Sullivan; great grandchildren Steven Goure, Ashton Goure, Faith Goure, Brittany Smith, Miranda Carter, Marissa Carter, Jason Carter, Makayla Carter, Savannah Liggett, Sydney Liggett, Sheridan Liggett, Sierra Liggett, Scott Cameron Liggett; sister, Katherine Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. A Public Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Horan & McConaty, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada. Funeral Service on Friday, February 20, 2014, 11:00 AM, with Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Alkire Building, 12995 West 72nd Avenue, Arvada.
