Dorothy Suzy Roberson, 71, of Denver, Colorado, passed away February 26, 2010, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Dorothy was born April 1, 1938, in Marie, Texas to W. Franklin and Nellie R. Borders Heath. She met and married Violes S. Roberson while living in Texas. In the mid 1950's, they moved to Colorado. After a few years, they moved back to Texas, onto Alaska for a while, and then settled back in Colorado. The Roberson family was complete with the birth of their son Michael. Dorothy was a wonderful homemaker and took great pride in being a mother. She loved to bake, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, all types of arts of crafts, and enjoyed oil painting. She left many creative treasures for her family. When the grandchildren arrived, Dorothy naturally took to the name of ""Nana"" and she loved spending time with them. Dorothy and Violes loved the mountains, the lakes and especially enjoyed the Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. After the death of Violes several years ago, Dorothy moved to Grand Junction to be closer to Michael and his family. Dorothy is survived by her son Michael and his wife, Denise; three grandchildren, Robert, Nick and Tianna; nieces, Mary Lou (husband, Johnny) Grassia and Diana (husband, Steve) Sharon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Violes and her brother, Jimmy Heath. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 1:00pm, Cornerstone Church at University Hills Baptist Church, 2750 South Clermont Drive, Denver, CO 80222.
