Dorothy Lee (Thomas) Swallow, 91, passed away on May 14th, 2019 in Aurora, Colorado. Dorothy was born to Esther Bell and Harry Wilber Thomas on June 17th, 1927 born at home in Denver, Colorado. After she graduated high school Dorothy went on to work at Denver Dry Goods, at Mountain Bell as an operator and Sterns Rogers as a secretary.
Dorothy was a very accomplished artist, avid reader, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed going to the mountains and camping. Dorothy visited many places throughout the world. She loved attending Denver Symphony concerts and was beloved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Esther Bell Thomas, Harry Wilber Thomas; siblings Clark Thomas and Shirley Becker. Dorothy is survived by her husband Dale D. Swallow who she was married to for 66 years, and children Kary (Jon) Christopherson, Shari (Jim) Tracy, and Lynda (John) Strauch; her grandchildren Bryce Alan Christopherson, Laura Lee Christopherson, Marissa Lin Tracy, Renee Mei Lin Tracy, Joshua Caleb Stone, Ryan Elmer Strauch; her great-grandchildren Michelle Stone, Isaiah Stone, Malachi Stone, SaRya Stone, Brooklyn Stone, Melissa Stone, Emmitt Stone and nephew Richard (Donna) Becker.
